  it for you before you get a paint job.
• A powwow drum lead singer if your vocal nodules exceed the size of your tonsils.
• The first day at your new public school you're waiting for circle and the rest of the class stands for the pledge of allegiance, and as you look around the room you're the only one who doesn't know the words.

One of the best ways to understand a people is to know what makes them laugh. Laughter encompasses the limits of the soul. In humor life is redefined and accepted. Irony and satire provide much keener insights into a group's collective psyche and values than do years of research.

It has always been a great disappointment to Indian people that the humorous side of Indian life has not been mentioned by professed experts on Indian Affairs. Rather the image of the granite-faced grunting redskin has been perpetuated by American mythology.

People have little sympathy with stolid groups. Dick Gregory did much more than is believed when he introduced humor into the Civil Rights struggle. He enabled non-blacks to enter into the thought world of the black community and experience the hurt it suffered. When all people shared the humorous but ironic situation of the black, the urgency and morality of Civil Rights was communicated.

The Indian people are exactly opposite of the popular stereotype. I sometimes wonder how anything is accomplished by Indians because of the apparent overemphasis on humor within the Indian world. Indians have found a humorous side of nearly every problem and the experiences of fife have generally been so well defined through jokes and stories that they have become a thing in themselves.

For centuries before the white invasion, teasing was a method of control of social situations by Indian people. Rather than embarrass members of the tribe publicly, people used to tease individuals they considered out of step with the consensus of tribal opinion. In this way egos were preserved and disputes within the tribe of a personal nature were held to a minimum.

Gradually people learned to anticipate teasing and began to tease themselves as a means of showing humility and at the same time advocating a course of action they deeply believed in. Men would depreciate their feats to show they were not trying to run roughshod over tribal desires. This method of behavior served to highlight their true virtues and gain them a place of influence in tribal policy-making circles.

Humor has come to occupy such a prominent place in national Indian affairs that any kind of movement is impossible without it. Tribes are being brought together by sharing humor of the past. Columbus jokes gain great sympathy among all tribes, yet there are no tribes extant who had anything to do with Columbus. But the fact of white invasion from which all tribes have suffered has created a common bond in relation to Columbus jokes that gives a solid feeling of unity and purpose to the tribes.

The more desperate the problem, the more humor is directed to describe it. Satirical remarks often circumscribe problems so that possible solutions are drawn from the circumstances that would not make sense if presented in other than a humorous form.

Often people are awakened and brought to a militant edge through funny remarks. I often counseled people to run for the Bureau of Indian Affairs in case of an earthquake because nothing could shake the BIA. And I would watch as younger Indians set their jaws, determined that they, if nobody else, would shake it. We also had a saying that in case of fire call the BIA and they would handle it because they put a wet blanket on everything. This also got a warm reception from people.

Columbus and Custer jokes are the best for penetration into the heart of the matter, however. Rumor has it that Columbus began his journey with four ships. But one went over the edge so he arrived in the new world with only three. Another version states that Columbus didn't know where he was going, didn't know where he had been, and did it all on someone else's money. And the white man has been following Columbus ever since.

It is said that when Columbus landed, one Indian turned to another and said, "Well, there goes the neighborhood." Another version has two Indians watching Columbus land and one saying to the other, "Maybe if we leave them alone they will go away." A favorite cartoon in Indian country a few years back showed a flying saucer landing while an Indian watched. The caption was "Oh, no, not again."

The most popular and enduring subject of Indian humor is, of course, General Custer. There are probably more jokes about Custer and the Indians than there were participants in the battle. All tribes, even those thousands of miles from Montana, feel a sense of accomplishment when thinking of Custer. Custer binds together implacable foes because he represented the Ugly American of the last century and he got what was coming to him.

Some years ago we put out a bumper sticker which read "Custer Died for Your Sins." It was originally meant as a dig at the National Council of Churches. But as it spread around the nation it took on additional meaning until everyone claimed to understand it and each interpretation was different. Originally, the Custer bumper sticker referred to the Sioux Treaty of 1868 signed at Fort Laramie in which the United States pledged to give free and undisturbed use of the lands claimed by Red Cloud in return for peace. Under the covenants of the Old Testament, breaking a covenant called for a blood sacrifice for atonement. Custer was the blood sacrifice for the United States breaking the Sioux treaty. That, at least originally, was the meaning of the slogan.

Custer jokes, however, can barely be categorized, let alone sloganized. Indians say that Custer was well-dressed for the occasion. When the Sioux found his body after the battle, he had on an Arrow shirt.

Many stories are derived from the details of the battle itself. Custer is said to have boasted that he could ride through the entire Sioux nation with his Seventh Calvary and he was half right- He got half-way through . . .

The years have not changed the basic conviction of the Indian people that they are still dealing with the United States as equals. At a hearing on Civil Rights in South Dakota a few years ago a white man asked a Sioux if they still considered themselves an independent nation. "Oh yes," was the reply, "we could still declare war on you. We might lose but you'd know you'd been in a terrible fight. Remember the last time in Montana?"

During the 1964 elections Indians were talking in Arizona about the relative positions of the two candidates, Johnson and Goldwater. A white man told them to forget about domestic policies and concentrate on the foreign policies of the two men. One Indian looked at him coldly and said that from. the Indian point of view it was all foreign policy.

The year 1964 also saw the emergence of the Indian vote on a national there was more scale. Rumors reached us that on the Navajo reservation that there was more enthusiasm than understanding of the political processes. Large signs announced, "All the Way with LBJ."

The current joke is that a survey was taken and only 15 percent of the Indians thought that the United States should get out of Vietnam. Eighty-five percent thought they should get out of America!

One of the most popular topics of Indian humor is the Bureau of Indian Affairs. When asked what was the biggest joke in Indian country, a man once said, "The BIA." During the years of termination, no matter how many tribes were being terminated the BIA kept adding employees. Since the thrust of termination was to cut government expenditures, the continual hiring of additional people led Indians to believe that such was not the real purpose. The rumor began that the BIA was phasing Out Indians and would henceforth provide services only for its own employees....

Perhaps the most disastrous policy, outside of termination, ever undertaken by the Bureau of Indian Affairs was a program called Relocation. It began as a policy of the Eisenhower administration as a means of getting Indians off the reservation and into the city slums where they could fade away.

Considerable pressure was put on reservation Indians to move into the cities. Reservation people were continually harassed by bureau officials until they agreed to enter the program. Sometimes the BIA relocation officer was so eager to get the Indians moved off the reservation that he would take the entire family into the city himself.

But the Indians came back to the reservation as soon as they learned what the city had to offer. Many is the story by BIA people of how Indians got back to the reservations before the BIA officials who had taken them to the city returned.

When the space program began, there was a great deal of talk about sending men to the moon. Discussion often centered about the difficulty of returning the men from the moon to earth, as re-entry procedures were considered to be very tricky. One Indian suggested that they send an Indian to the moon on relocation. "He'll figure out some way to get back......

Not only the bureau, but other agencies, became the subject of Indian humor. When the War on Poverty was announced, Indians were justly skeptical about the extravagant promises of the bureaucrats. The private organizations in the Indian field, organized as the Council on Indian Affairs sponsored a Capital Conference on Poverty in Washington in May of 1966 to ensure that Indian poverty would be highlighted just prior to the passage of the poverty program in Congress.

Tribes from all over the nation attended the conference to present papers on the poverty existing on their reservations. Two Indians from the plains area were asked about their feelings on the proposed program.

"Well," one said, "if they bring that War on Poverty to our reservation, they'll know they've been in a fight."

At the same conference, Alex Chasing Hawk, a nationally famous Indian leader from Cheyenne River and a classic storyteller, related the following tale about poverty.

It seemed that a white man was introduced to an old chief in New York City. Taking a liking to the old man, the white man invited him to dinner. The old chief hadn't eaten a good steak in a long time and eagerly accepted.

He finished one steak in no time and still looked hungry. So the white man offered to buy him another steak.

As they were waiting for the steak, the white man said, "Chief, I sure wish I had your appetite." I doubt it, white man," the chief said. "You took my land, you took my mountains and streams, you took my salmon and my buffalo. You took everything I had except my appetite and how you want that. Aren't you ever going to be satisfied?"

People are always puzzled when they learn that Indians are not involved in the Civil Rights struggle. Many expect Indians to be marching up and down like other people, feeling that all problems of poor groups are basically the same.

But Indian people, having treating rights of long standing, rightly feel that protection of existing rights is much more important to them. Yet intra-group jokes have been increasing since the beginning of the Civil Rights movements and few Indians do not wryly comment on movements among the other groups.

An Indian and a black man were in a bar on one day talking bout the problems of their respective groups. The black man reviewed all the progress his people had made over the past decade and tried to get the Indian inspired to start a similar movement of activism among the tribes.

Finally the black man concluded, "Well, I guess you can't do much, there are so few of you.

"Yes," said the Indian, "and there won't be very many of you if they decide to play cowboys and blacks.

Another time, an Indian and a black man were talking about the respective races and how they had been treated by the white man. Each was trying to console the other about the problem and each felt the other group had been treated worse.

The Indian reminded the black man how his people had been slaves, how they had not had a chance to have a good family life, and how they were so persecuted in the South. The black man admitted all of the sufferings of his people, but he was far more eloquent in reciting the wrongs against the Indians. He reviewed the broken treaties, the great land thefts, the smallpox infected blankets given to the tribes by the English, and the current movement to relocated all the Indians in the cities, far from their homelands.

Listening to the vivid description, the Indian got completely carried away in remorse. As each wrong was recited he nodded sorrowfully and was soon convinced that there was practically no hope at all for his people. Finally he could stand no more.

"And do you know," he told the black man, "there was a time in the history of this country when they used to shoot us just to get the feathers!"

Providing information to inquisitive whites has also proved humorous on occasion . . . Louie Sitting Crow, an old timer from Crow Creek, Dakota, used to go into town and watch the tourists who traveled along Highway 16 in South Dakota to get to the Black Hills. One day at a filling station a car from New York pulled up and began filling its tank for the long drive.

A girl came over to talk with Louie. She asked him a great many questions about the Sioux and Louie answered as best he could. Yes, the Sioux were fierce warriors. Yes, the Sioux had once owned all of the state. Yes, they still wished for the old days.

Finally the girl asked if the Indians still scalped people. Louie, weary of the questions, replied, "Lady, remember, when you cross that river and head west, you will be in the land of the fiercest Indians on earth and you will be very lucky to get to the Black Hills alive. And you ask me if they still scalp. Let me tell you, it's worse than that. Now they take the whole head."

As Louie recalled, the car turned around and headed east after the tank was full of gas....

One-line retorts are common in Indian country. Popovi Da, the great Pueblo artist, was quizzed one day on why the Indians were the first ones on this continent. "We had reservations," was his reply. Another time, when questioned by an anthropologist on what the Indians called America before the white man came, an Indian said simply, "Ours. " A young Indian was asked one day at a conference what a peace treaty was. He replied, "That's when the white man wants a piece of your land."

The best example of Indian humor and militancy I have ever heard was given by Clyde Warrior one day. He was talking with a group of people about the National Indian Youth Council, of which he was then president, and its program for a revitalization of Indian life. Several in the crowd were skeptical about the idea of rebuilding Indian communities along traditional Indian lines.

"Do you realize," he said, "that when the United States was founded, it was only 5 percent urban and 95 percent rural and now it is 70 percent urban and 30 percent rural?"

His listeners nodded solemnly but didn't seem to understand what he was driving at.

"Don't you realize what this means?" he rapidly continued. "It means we are pushing them into the cities. Soon we will have the country back again."

Whether Indian jokes will eventually come to have more significance than that, I cannot speculate. Humor, all Indians will agree, is the cement by which the coming Indian movement is held together. When a people can laugh at themselves and laugh at others and hold all aspects of life together without letting anybody drive them to extremes, then it seems to me that people can survive.

A couple of old cowboys (Sam and Bubba) were sitting in a bar having a drink (or two or three), doing what most old cowboys do; complaining about the heat, the cows and their wives. They weren't exactly the brightest guys, and neither were their comments. Every day they said pretty much the same thing.
And it always ended in a contest over who had the worst wife.

Today though something was different. There was a wise looking elderly Indian Chief sitting at the bar. They decided to ask him to decide, who had the worst wife.

The first man (Sam) complained that his wife was always arguing with him. No matter what he said, she always said the opposite. She didn't just say it either, she said it so loud that the neighbors complained.

The old Chief listened attentively and then said, "If your wife was Indian, we would name her Fire-Water."

Sam asked "Why would you call her Fire-Water?"

The Indian Chief replied, "Every time she opens her mouth she breathes fire and your knees turn to water."

The second man (Bubba) said "My wife is so bad that we haven't hadn't had physical relations in darn near twenty years."

The chief again listened attentively and pronounced Bubba's wife as "Sleeping-Dragon."

When Bubba asked why, the chief replied, "If you try to touch her while she is sleeping, she will become a dragon and bite your head off."

Sam and Bubba had a good laugh over their wives new names. Then Sam asked, "Okay, them Indian names are pretty cool, but....Who has the worst wife?"

The chief replied, "I do."

Bubba asked what the chiefs wife name was.

The chief replied something along the lines of "Whumpo Havo Noja"

Both Sam and Bubba looked very confused, and so the chief explained, "That's my wife's Indian name, it translates in English to "Three-Old-Horses."

More puzzled than ever before Bubba asked, "Yeah, but what does it  (Three-Old-Horses) mean?

The chief sighed, took a sip of his beer and said , "Nag, Nag, Nag."

HOW TO IMPRESS AN INDIAN MAN

Show up with an Indian Taco, Corn Soup and an extra piece of fry bread.......

The Lone Ranger and Tonto went camping in the desert. After they got their tent all set up, both men fell sound asleep. Some hours later, Tonto wakes the Lone Ranger and says,

"Kemo Sabe, look towards sky, what you see?"

The Lone Ranger replies, "I see millions of stars."

"What that tell you?" asked Tonto.

The Lone Ranger ponders for a minute then says, "Astronomically speaking, it tells me there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets.

Astrologically, it tells me that Saturn is in Leo. Time wise, it appears to be approximately a quarter past three in the morning. Theologically, it's evident the Lord is all-powerful and we are small and insignificant.

Meteorologically, it seems we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What's it tell you, Tonto?"

Tonto is silent for a moment, then says, "Kemo Sabe, you dumber then buffalo chip. Someone has stolen tent."

  Throw each one in the oven at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

  The regular canine should come out tender and moist.

Three Indian commandos were out in the Iraqi desert. "I understand that you Indians have brought your own indigenous survival equipment" ventured their captain.
 "Sir, I have brought an entire barrel cactus" said the Pima guy proudly. "When I get too hot, I just cut off the top and take a drink." The captain looked impressed.
 Not to be outdone, the Pueblo guy said " Sir, I have brought the sacred corn pollen. When I get too hot, I pray with it, and then it rains". The captain looked even more impressed.
 Not to be outdone the Pawnee guy said "I brought a car door off a 1959 Chevy Impala". "Why would you do that?" the captain asked. "Well," said the Pawnee guy "when I get too hot, I just roll down the window".

 An Osage lady had just bought a new car with her headright money. She sent her Choctaw boyfriend to the back of the car to check out her turn signals. "Are they working?" she asked.
 The Choctaw guy responded "Yes... No... Yes...No...".

 Two Cheyenne guys on relocation spied a sign in a cafe window that said "hot-dogs". Thinking they were some other kind of dogs, they ordered two to go, and went to a park to have lunch. The first Cheyenne guy looked inside his sack, and then threw it down in disgust.
 "What part did you get?" asked his buddy.

 An elderly Choctaw couple was driving back from visiting their neighbor when the old lady wondered if the geese they had been given were safely put away in the pickup bed. "Hey you got dem goose?" she asked her husband.
 "Quit your cussin'" he said.

 Two Poncas stole a hog, and put it on the front car seat between them.
   Suddenly they hit a road block. Thinking fast, they disguised the hog by putting sunglasses on it, and by tying a lady's scarf around its head. The trick worked, and the deputy let them go.
 "Don't that break your heart?" the deputy asked the sheriff as they drove away. "Them two Ponca Indian boys .. out with that beautiful white woman".

 The rez cop disciplined a reckless driver by smacking him over the head, and then let the driver and his passenger go. Two minutes later the rez cop stopped the same car again, walked over to the passenger's side, and then hit him over the head.
     "Hey!" yelled the passenger. I didn't do anything! Why did you hit me?"
      "Just making your wish come true" said the rez cop. "I know you said 'I wish that s.o.b woulda tried that s*it on ME".

 Q: What do you get when you cross a Chickasaw, a Pottowottomie, and a Paiute?
 A: A chickie-pot-pie

 An Indian woman went to the school to register her boys.
 "How many children do you have?" asked the secretary.
 "Ten" she said.
 "And what are their names?" she was asked.
 "Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob, and Bob" she said
 "They're ALL named Bob?" the secretary asked. "What if you want them to come in from playing?'
 "That's easy" she explained. "I just call Bob and they all come running".
 "And what if you want them to come and eat?" the secretary asked.
 "I just say Bob, come eat your dinner, and they do". She said.
 "But what if you want just ONE Bob to do something?" asked the secretary
 "Oh that's easy" she said. "I just use their last names".

POSITION: Mom, Mama, Mother

JOB DESCRIPTION: Long term team players needed for challenging permanent work in an often chaotic environment. Candidates must possess excellent communication and organizational skills and be willing to work variable hours, which will include evenings and weekends and frequent 24 hour shifts on call. Some overnight travel required, including trips to primitive camping sites on rainy weekends and endless sports tournaments in far away cities. Travel expenses not reimbursed. Extensive courier duties also required.

RESPONSIBILITIES: For the rest of your life. Must be willing to be hated, at  least temporarily, until someone needs $5. Must be willing to bite tongue repeatedly. Also, must possess the physical stamina of a pack mule and be able to go from zero to 60 mph in three seconds flat in case, this time, the screams from the backyard are not someone just crying wolf.

Must be willing to face stimulating technical challenges, such as small gadget repair, mysteriously sluggish toilets and stuck zippers. Must screen phone calls, maintain calendars and coordinate production of multiple homework projects.  Must have ability to plan and organize social gatherings for clients of all  ages and mental outlooks. Must be willing to be indispensable one minute, an embarrassment the next. Must handle assembly and product safety testing of a half million cheap, plastic toys and battery operated devices. Must  always hope for the best but be prepared for the worst. Must assume final, complete accountability for the quality of the end product.

Responsibilities also include floor maintenance and janitorial work throughout the facility.

POSSIBILITY FOR ADVANCEMENT AND PROMOTION: Virtually none. Your job is  to remain in the same position for years, without complaining, constantly retraining and updating your skills, so that those in your charge can ultimately surpass you.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: None required, unfortunately. On-the-job training offered on a continually exhausting basis.

WAGES AND COMPENSATION: You pay them! Offering frequent raises and  bonuses. A balloon payment is due when they turn 18 because of the assumption  that college will help them become financially independent. When you die,  you give them whatever is left. The oddest thing about this reverse-salary scheme is that you actually enjoy it and wish you could only do more.

BENEFITS: While no health or dental insurance, no pension, no tuition reimbursement, no paid holidays and no stock options are offered; this job supplies limitless opportunities for personal growth and free hugs for  life if you play your cards right.

Forward this on to all the moms you know, in appreciation for everything they do on a daily basis, and let them know they are appreciated (and to your children so that they know what it takes to be a parent).

You know it's time to lose weight when:

*  You can't see your moccasin strings anymore

*  You "duck" during the duck and dive and you can't get back up

*  You find yourself bringing zip lock bags and a sack to the powwow feast

*  You get in line twice at the powwow feast and lie by saying, "this plate is for my grandma who's sitting in the car," and you don't realize she just went through the line 10 people ahead of you.

*  You can't fit your choker, because you no longer have a neck

*  Your family has to stop half way to the powwow to replace the springs on your car

*  The car naturally tilts downward on the side you always ride on

*  The youngest kid with the shortest legs has to sit behind your seat, because you have to have the seat pulled all the way back to fit your beefy legs into the car

*  You eat Indian Tacos like potato chips

*  You don't even feel your mosquito bites

*  You have to "rock" a few times to get up out of your chair

OLD NDN TRICK

Recently a routine Yakama police patrol parked outside Pete's tavern. Late in the evening the officer noticed a young tribal man leaving the bar so intoxicated that he could barely walk. The man stumbled
around the parking lot for a few minutes, with the officer quietly observing.

After what seemed an eternity and trying his keys on five vehicles, the man managed to find his car which he fell into. He was there for a few minutes as a number of other patrons left the bar and drove off. Finally he started the car, switched the wipers on and off (it was a fine dry night) flicked the blinkers on, then off, honked the horn and then switched on the lights. He moved the vehicle forward a few inches, reversed a little and then remained still for a few more minutes as some more vehicles left. At last he pulled out of the parking lot and started to drive slowly down the road.

The police officer, having patiently waited all this time, now started up the patrol car, put on the flashing lights, promptly pulled the man over and carried out a breathalyzer test. To his amazement the breathalyzer indicated no evidence of the man having consumed alcohol at all! Dumbfounded, the officer said "I'll have to ask you to accompany me to the Police station this breathalyzer equipment must be broken." "I doubt it," said the man, "Tonight I'm the designated decoy." Aye!!!! Old tribal trick--enit!!?

Indian Humor - NM Style

A New Mexico State Trooper pulled over a van on I-25 about ten miles north of "The Pit". When the trooper asked the driver why he was speeding the driver answered that he was a juggler and he was on his way to Sandia Casino to do a show that night and didn't want to be late. The trooper told the driver he was fascinated by the juggling, and if the driver would do a little juggling for him, he wouldn't give him a ticket. The driver told the trooper that he had sent all of his equipment on ahead and that he didn't have anything to juggle. The trooper told him that he had some flares in the trunk of his squad car and asked if he could juggle them. The juggler stated that he could, so the trooper got three flares, lit them and handed them to the juggler. While the man was doing his juggling act, an old pickup with expired plates pulled up behind the squad car. An Indian who was obviously intoxicated, staggered out and watched the performance briefly. He shook his head, went over to the squad car, opened the door and got in. The trooper observed the man doing this and went over to his squad car opened the back door and asked the drunk what he thought he was doing?! The drunk replied...."Sha-Bro....might as well take me to jail....There's no way in hell I can pass THAT test!!!!"

Fry Bread

The old tribal chairman was on his death bed. He had only hours to live when he suddenly smelled the scent of fry-bread wafting into his room. Aaahhhh. . . He loved fry-bread more than anything else in the world.

With his last bit of energy, he pulled himself out of bed. . .   Down the stairs and into the kitchen he went. There was his beloved wife, Lillian, kneading the dough for a new batch. As he reached for one of  the fresh steaming fry-breads, he got smacked across the back of his hand by the wooden spoon his wife was holding. 'Leave them alone!' she said. 'They're for the funeral ! ' "

Speeding

One Sunday, sitting on the side of the highway waiting to catch speeding drivers, a State Police Officer sees a car puttering along at 22 MPH.

He thinks to himself, "This driver is just as dangerous as a speeder!" So he turns on his lights and pulls the driver over.

Approaching the car, he notices that there are five little old Indian ladies - two in the front seat and three in the back - wide eyed and white as ghosts. The driver, obviously confused, says to him, "Officer, I don't understand, I was doing exactly the speed limit!  I always go exactly the speed limit.  What seems to be the problem?"

"Ma'am," the officer replies, "you weren't speeding, but you should know that driving slower than the speed limit can also be a danger to other drivers."

"Slower than the speed limit? No sir, I was doing the speed limit exactly!  Twenty-two miles an hour!" the old Indian woman says a bit proudly.

The State Police officer, trying to contain a chuckle explains to her that "22" was the route number, not the speed limit.

A bit embarrassed, the woman grinned and thanked the officer for pointing out her error.

"But before I let you go, Ma'am, I have to ask . . .  Is everyone in this car OK? These women seem awfully shaken and they haven't muttered a single peep this whole time," the officer asks with concern.

"Oh, they'll be all right, officer. We just got off Route 119."

When one experiences the sacred truth of the crucifixion, sacred crossing of the he who is the son of the Sacred Father, became a very powerful message, which revealed an unexpected universal truth.

Early Good Friday morning, no one awake in the house when I awake stretched out, in the position of one nailed to a cross. Yes, I lay particle on the bed, in a room with two dogs sleeping around me, to learn more about, the reason for the Sacred Son, to shed his blood for all of humanity, so all might have life eternal.

Truth, too much pain, can send one into mental freefall; and I was close to the edge of mental collapse, since I was in great pain, beginning with wreath of thorns driven into my head, nails driven into my wrist, not the palms, as depicted. The Romans soldiers planned to increase the punishment and pain, so they only slightly lashed my arms to the cross, so my body weight would quickly tear away my bone, muscles, and flesh from my wrist.

          Gravity pulls on body, which pulls on wrists, beyond any normal crucifixion, because they stretched our legs out longer than normal, preventing any form of body support. There was no block of wood under our feet either, which was common when they lash or nail a person to a cross. The Romans wanted to make sure this person suffered a good deal more than all the others. They mocked and inflicted pain on the Sacred Son, in only the cruelest of minds could perceive. They appeared possessed by all forms of evil.

Who can say if the Romans or evil wanted to torture the Sacred Son of the Sacred Father and twisted words of deception proclaimed his proclaimed himself to be the King of Kings, who preformed many miracles. Now they taunted, teased and inflicted tortuous pain, since the King Almighty, who is the worker of miracles and possesses the ultimate power, should be able to free his self from these bonds and show everyone his power.

Even over the pain, which was only a small portion of the pain, the Son of the Sacred Father experienced, during this time of suffering for the sins of humanity, which must have been unimaginable for us to comprehend. However, what I experienced with each dark thought, each anger statement, display of hatred, mocking and teasing, including all other forms of impure act, the pain inflicted on ones spirit increased. The sins of humanity were exceptionally strong this day and it cast pain across the universe. I do not think even heaven was ready for all the sinful behavior by so many.

A soft voice speaks and tells me I am experiencing only part of the pain the Sacred Son of the Eternal Father of Light and Life Eternal suffers this day. This day for every seven voices of dark hatred, projected upon the Sacred Son, one could sense a heart of love and compassion. The projection thoughts or voices from sacred hearts of love and compassion helped to ease a small portion of pain and offers comfort to one who was suffering beyond comprehension and endurance.

Then without warning, we feel a spear rammed into my side, through our lung, and only stopped once the spear tip, punched a small-hole in our laryngitic. The Roman Solider defined his power by his killing moment. For he rammed the spear with such vengeance and force, he became the killer. He helped to end our suffering, but in the eyes of the universe, he proved he was the greatest destroyer of humanity, a man that lives for the taste of death.

The World Fell into Total Darkness

Here you see specks of light but that day the only specks of light were from torches and oil lamps. The earth fractured in anger and violence, people huddled together in fear. He who killed the sacred son and those that condemned him would never find happiness and their souls would never find peace until his return.

What happened next, our physical life ended, the world fell into total darkness. Not just in a small-localized area, under the control of Roman, but all around the world. (I use the term our . . . because it quickly became impossible for me to separate our consciousness and/or spiritual awareness.) Thus, our physical life ended, Son of the Sacred One and visitor Red Sun. Our minds conscious of the physical body's suffering continued to scream for a few seconds afterwards.

Then we begin to transcend, and I observe the entire world tremble under a universe of great darkness, the colors, lights, and songs of the universe, disappeared, along with any form of moon light. No longer could one see the sun, the universe hid from all on earth. Nothing shined or looked upon the earth, it was a time when even the stars in the universe expressed great sorrow. The darkness so great and overpowering it prevented a candle from shining, or even lighting a small corner in ones home.

For this, was the darkness that happened at the hour of his crossing and continued for sometime? One very powerful message, which I do not think many wanted to accept of believe the possibility they killed the sacred son of the Father Eternal. The darkness added to the fear and violence, so none wanted to confess in public, they knew him and he was the sacred savior of humanity. Nevertheless, only then did many realize they had crucified the wrong man.

Not an Expected Good Friday Journey

What I think needs personal clarification, about in-house environmental influences, on others in the house, none awoke or sensed what was going on around them . . .while I was on this crucifixion journey of awareness/experiences. This two-hour journey lead up to the moment of and beyond the first hour of his sacred crossing, which was unexpected as the physical Red Sun form lay with my eyes open, unable move or speak. Body lays motionless on a bed, for we experienced an event, which nailed us to a cross. Pain was unbelievable when I did try to move a single muscle.

A soft voice explains it was time to learn the truth of what happened that day. One-guardian-spirit transports spirit to a place in the universe, which allows Red Sun to learn via experience with the Sacred Son, a day not restaged or relived but the actual day. Yes, I can say it is a very powerful way for Red Sun to understand the truth and the power of an event, many even now question.

Nevertheless, it is hard to explain, why Red Sun receives a summons, to share such an experience, which includes all the sensation of the environment, weather, sounds, visual through the eyes of the Sacred Son, and spiritually deal with the persona of the crowds. The painful wrath of thorns, spikes not nails, cuts received from some who enjoyed doing adding to the torture, while he walked through the crowds, carrying his cross, open wounds on our back, and the spikes combined with body weight, slowly ripping everything in our wrists apart, (not in the palms) but in an area more damaging and destructive. The spikes cut through the veins in the wrists, and we are slowly bleeding out, from the wrist, too. This shared experience is not something I want to do again.

I observed what others feared to state in their biblical reports. 

Truths all too often 

Others in their fear decided what must stay hidden and/or covered up with half-truths

The Sacred Light from the Sacred Father, Archangel of the Sacred Light and countless angels shined bright in the sky to announce the arrival of the Sacred Son of He who is the Light Eternal. The guardian angels and the Archangel assigned to watch over the Sacred Son and the heavens shined bright. Yes, his was and is a great deal more than a sacred spiritual life journey.

At the time, of the body's death and the true spirit of the sacred son's crossing, all that gave this world light disappeared, departed, and/or refused to give life support, to let the world know they the darkness of their spirit, which is the reason all went black. His departure took with him the sacred heart of the Sacred Mothers, and Earth Mother sacred sounds. No one could hear or experience anything but cold, silent, darkness, not one universal life song, combined with and eerie silent, gave cause to fear for they had to face all their sins, during that hour.

This shows in many reasons the Sacred Son shed his blood to cleanse the lands and its people of all their sins. When while he was here he gave no instruction for people to build churches, or use their money to buy their way into the Sacred House of the Eternal Father. Ones sacred respect and spiritual love for all of humanity, expresses ones love Sacred Ones and/or to honor the Sacred Father or any of the others that receive the title of Saint.

He did not come to start churches, but to point us on a spiritual path of enlightenment. Awaken humanity to the sacred oneness, and what can do to obtain are spiritual enlightenment. We are all the same in the eyes of the Sacred Father Eternal, who is the Eternal Light of Life Eternal. Across the countless centuries, people have referred to him by many names, but he is the same Sacred Eternal Father. We too are eternal bodies of light, made in his image, which if you stop to look at it; we are all brothers and sisters and no more. Question: Why is it we allow our outer shell to dictate our behavior, since we are all brothers and sisters of the sacred light eternal?

Spiritual Physics is Native Science not Metaphysics

Spiritual Physics is not Metaphysics, Universal Physics is not Metaphysics; Quantum Physics is not Metaphysics and Native Sciences are not Metaphysics. Considering Native Sciences, Traditions, Religion, and Spiritual Ways have a strong interconnection with Spiritual/Universal/Quantum Physics.

Spiritual Physics is living it, becoming part of and gaining knowledge through total experience aka living and experiencing our Sacred Native Sciences and traditional belief systems. Spiritual Physics means spiritual involvement and development, not just an observer. To live and become part of the river of life is the only way one can truly understand the universe and our sacred Mother Earth.

Spiritual Awareness: Connect with ones ability to journey across the fluid movement of life to learn and experience . . . where ones total being becomes part of the spiritual universe, including every atom of ones total-life energy and ones total-consciousness.

We do not deny the guardians, ancestors, teachers, and the entire sacred realm, nor do we deny the Sacred Father, since in many ways ours is a symbioses relationship. We are dealing with a physiological and psychological relationship between two people/realms in; which each is dependent on the other and receive reinforcements whether beneficial, incremental in the others development or detrimental. Our spiritual relationship one might consider on the plane of infant and mother; which is both physically and emotionally. Aka: Any interdependent or mutually beneficially relationship between two persons and/or group.

Native Science is based on Spiritual/Universal and Quantum Physics, since it is the study of natural sciences, science of nature, and the science that deals with matter, energy, motion, and interdependency.

Spiritual Physics "is not" based on Western Thinking, but Native Life Teachings and Experiences, we were and are open to spiritual communications, over thousands of years and in-depth spiritual communications and experiences. We were communicating across hundreds and thousands of miles with each other long before the invention of telephones. 

Spiritual Physics, Native Sciences, and Native Philosophy are broad-based not based one rational thought alone but incorporated to the fullest degree all the aspects of interaction of "human awareness of universal spirit, and of nature". . . . The Knowledge and truth gained from interaction of body, mind, soul, spirit, reflections, and practices with all aspects of nature. Native Science embodies the natural system characteristics of diversity, optimization, cooperation, self-regulation, change, creativity, connectedness, and niche. As Robert Yazzie, chief justice of the Navajo Nations (1996) explains:

Navajo philosophy is not a philosophy in the Western sense of the word; it is the lived practices of cultural forms that embody the Navajo understanding of their connectivity in the in the worlds of spirits of nature, humans, animals, plants, minerals, and other natural phenomena. However, explained in terms of Western thought if may be viewed as the practice of an epistemology in, which the mind embodies itself in a particular relationship with all the other aspects of the world. For me as a Navajo, these other aspects are my relations. I have a duty towards them as they have a duty as a relative towards me. [page 64, Native Science, by Gregory Cajete, Ph.D.]

The following are words from my sacred spirit and speak the words I carry in my heart, too; although some of the words are excerpts from Gregory Cajete, it speaks for all of the our nations and expresses our social relationship with Native Science, which incorporates Spiritual/Universal and Quantum Physics.

• Native science integrates a spiritual orientation.
• Spirit: Native science incorporates spiritual process: No division exists between science and spirituality. Every act, element, plant, animal, and natural process is considered to have a moving spirit with, which humans continually communicate. (page 69)
• Instrumentation: Spiritual Physics and Native Science relies on preparation of the mind, body, and spirit of each persona the primary vehicle of "coming to know" The mind and body one can with careful, discipline, for repeatable experimentation and observation. We gather knowledge through our body, mind, and heart in altered states of being, in songs, dances, meditation, reflections, dreams, and visions. We are aware of our sacred oneness with these things that for eons have been our connection and sacred teachers. (Page 69)
• Ceremonies and/or Sacrifices: is both a context for transferring knowledge and a way to remember the responsibility we have to our relationship with life. Native ceremony is associated with maintaining and restoring balance, cultivating, relationship, and creative participation with nature and our universe. (page 70)
• Life Energy: Life universal energy we acknowledge throughout the expressions of knowledge, understanding, and application. All things are part of the sacred universal life force. In all things, we must be willing to understand its natural energy moves and reacts together and with.
• Dreams and visions: Dreams and visions are a natural resource, which allows us to access knowledge and establish relationships on all universal levels. In truth, they are encouraged and facilitated. With our creative evolution of mind, we are reflections and participants of a greater universal whole.

In understanding the evolution and application of ecological ethics, we revere all living things, taking responsibility for ones relationship to the earth, for doing more with less, and for pursuing wisdom and self-actualization rather than all-consuming materialism.

        The behavior and believe system I referenced above, are just a few of the things elders lessons trained me to comprehend the employment of the sacred energies and the proper ceremonies, sacrifices and lifestyle to help heal and save the lives of those in need. Know when you say "I respect life," "I respect Our Sacred Mother," "I believe," are Sacred Life Teachers: Respect, Sacred Mother, and Faith will challenge you.

They know many say one thing while they actually live life on a level that reveals greater disrespect than respect all living things. It takes more than words to earn the acceptance and respect of the Sacred Ones. Believe me each will repeatedly challenge you, your words, and faith; until each is satisfied; you have learned and earned their respect. Now you can understand why our disciplines, ceremonies, personal sacrifices, and daily prayers of honor and respect each require in a manner that balances the sacred scales towards the sacred spirit of our universe.

More and More: Too many people respect only what profits them, while they care nothing about what destruction their personal lust can cause. Lustful profits show no respect, they lose sight of the effects and influence on their children, grandchildren, or great grandchildren, but to all nations' children, for countless generations beyond our visions, if humanity can survive long enough from all the destruction. Too many see money first, and the rest of the world conditions damned. Countless form of lust and greed are leading us into a world of Titanic Nations. It amazes me how they are doing everything they can to deny us our sacred medicine sites or spiritual power. What they are doing is dooming the entire world to total annihilation. Destroy the sacred sites and they destroy the sacred energy fields that are helping to hold this world from massive devastation.

Spiritual Physics: When one is looking at sacred balance of spiritual physics of this earth and the universe, think of your personal life, being similar to our world's sacred scale, which humanity contributes to daily. Now take the time to see, which side of the scale you have contributed must of your spiritual life energy and what you have created. Know there are personal and universal scales. Question: How can one re-balance to change it from possible harmful to positive conditions for all? Many times the imbalance of this scale is the harm we not only bring down on ones family, but ones self, born and unborn children and what we have done and taken from the universe and our Sacred Earth Mother. One can rebalance ones spiritual physics scale when one rebalances ones own life and environment.

This is among many a couple hundred reason is why we believe that one must give back to our Sacred Mother, in order to receive her blessings and protection, too. It is hard to explain sacred spiritual physics influences and life resources, and honor we need to apply before we receive the universe's sacred blessings and protection. Sacred Mother and the Universe is the power source of our sacred circle of life. Nevertheless, understanding comes from working with Universal/Spiritual Physics in combination with our Sacred Mother Earth and Universal Quantum Physics and increase in our spiritual awareness. Of what I speak, are only a few of the hundreds of lessons I learned from my elders for each day we add to our sacred knowledge.

Finally, when it came to spiritual knowledge, awareness, and sciences we had a more advanced culture than history wants to admit and many of our respected sacred teachers and leaders, certain messengers sought out and followed the instruction to assassinate, all those who had the ability to pull the people together. The ones we uncovered deeply involved in the decision-making, church leaders, and various agencies within the government, plot to weaken our nations, and take away our lands or take us away from our lands.

Even with the Indian Relocation Act: passing children out to families off and away from the reservations. Killing they deem necessary, so the church and government can have absolute power over this land and our nations. Righteous Indignation and Destiny Manifesto dealt and continues to deal a very strong hand, against spiritual physics, along with lust, greed, and profit. When the church issues an opinion and the government complies, however, the government issues an opinion they needed to appear neutral on, it became the church position to pass out many forms of propaganda.

Propaganda, set the stage of the systemic destruction of several amazing cultures, not just the Indigenous Peoples of what they named United States of America. The first knife began with the dominate greed of nationalized religion, along with a nation of people who had already come close to destruction of their nations. They came to this nation with the same mind set and lustful personality, which meant it was easy to mislead and create the violent conditions that followed.

Anyway, what I briefly suggested, one of Grandmother M's relations revealed, since she was a missionary and her husband was the Indian agent. Another relation kept jumping reservations, along with a couple of dozen warriors and they raided, a number of churches and outpost, where they would gather up all the paperwork they could to prove corruption.

He was Grandmother M's father-in-law, a great-grandfather, spiritual leader and healer, who had strong visions. Truth, no one is going to believe, besides who is to say after so many conversations, what paragraphs in history reflect the sacred truths which is up to you to reflect on the information.

After several raids and a great deal of documents collected during several raids, he discovered paperwork that ordered the death of all @# Redskins, they wanted the land, but the redskin's had to be forced to break the treaties. Some type documents recovered in the Southwest and the Great Plains. The paperwork gave orders to do everything possible to cause those no good @#! Redskins to fight and to make sure the whites were instigated enough to demand all the Indians be killed. It did not matter how they got rid of the Indians, just make sure there are good reasons to wipe out the Indians totally.

Not too long afterwards, when they discovered it was Great-Grandfather M spreading the word, the military tracked him down, and a civilian shot him in the back of the head, while the military office and some so-called Indian Agent asked to speak with him under a white flag of truce. They wanted him to leave his cave and meet with them half way between them and the cave. He was a powerful medicine man from what the family says. Once again, an Indian Scout for the military shot him in the back of his head.

Spiritual Physics can be very awakening and powerful, and does not relate to a church or money, although it is a way of life, relating to what one gives to life, connected to the sacred development and renewal of life eternal. Our two cultures should have been working side by side, can you imagine, our advancements in spiritual development, and our advancements in science and quantum physics. Who is to say we might even be traveling to the stars and what beauty just still might be alive on this planet. The Sacred Father wanted us to work together and to share are knowledge, not destroy all the universal knowledge he had given our people.

[The study of the astronomical practices, celestial lore, mythologies, religions, and world-views of all ancient cultures we call archaeoastronomy. We like to describe archaeoastronomy, in essence, as the "anthropology of astronomy", to distinguish it from the "history of astronomy".

You may already know that many of the great monuments and ceremonial constructions of early civilizations were astronomically aligned. The accurate cardinal orientation of the Great Pyramid at Giza in Egypt or the Venus alignment of the magnificent Maya Palace of the Governor at Uxmal in Yucatan are outstanding examples. We learn much about the development of science and cosmological thought from the study of both the ancient astronomies and surviving indigenous traditions around the world.] Sic

Research has revealed that Traditional Tribes and Indigenous Native Cultures had their own Scholars/Medicine Elders who were very knowledgeable about in these areas of Native Sciences. Another example of Spiritual Physics and Universal connection, we had our own sciences and were not restricted by saying something was impossible, but rather trust in the sacred ways.

        In truth, I have come to realize we had a number of scholars, teachers, medicine elders, and spiritual leaders. Much of our culture proves more advanced in ways other cultures could not understand or possessed the ability to comprehend, since we had a collective oneness with the universe and the Sacred Ones. Our science dealt with physics and quantum physics, in ways few these days can remember, although we incorporated much of our traditions and religion in our daily life, as well.

I am using this to let you know the sacred love, spiritual energy has been accept and turned into Spiritual and Universal Physics to help the all of those connected to or with Australia. I wish I could touch each of you personally and give you my heart felt loving hug. Yes, I ask you to accept this as my gift of thanks, and know each star expresses the sacred power of angels love and blessings too. To all who are sending thoughts or even expressing care and love in words towards those in need around the world beside Australia . . . They too send want your to know answer back with sacred blessings and love. For what you give for others are increased a hundred-fold, your spirit-heart is a very powerful instrument.

To all who have a drum I ask you to add to the spiritual energy during your time of praying if possible, I do not think your boss would enjoy your drum during office hours, but you can when you are in good position to pray and sing your prays along with the spiritual life and energy of your drum. You also need to know each time you think of Australia with  your spirit-heart filled in a positive manner with compassion, concern, hope, wishes you are giving hope, life, help and healing to all in touched by that which has created this manner disaster.  

Let the spirit of all your drums sing out, for they too possess great sacred healing powers, which can add to universal/spiritual physics and help those in need!

In my meditation tonight, I was told it is working and soon the results will be seen, if we all keep Australia in our hearts and prayers. During my meditation, I was allowed to experience the sacred energy people are sending and it is amazing power, and yes for the last few days, it has been increasing.

Every day at Sarvey Wildlife Center, we witness first hand the incredible battle for life that our animal brothers and sisters go through. This is a story of one Bald Eagle's magnificent spirit and sheer will to live.

It was mid-summer when a call came in reporting a fledgling Bald Eagle had fallen out of a nest on a Seattle golf course. Our very own Crazy Bob went to the rescue and transported her to the Center. She arrived with two broken wings. When asked to take her to the vet, I jump at the chance.

When I load this hurt and terrified baby into the car, she neither whimpers nor fights; she can't even stand. This is not a good sign; she is obviously in very bad shape. As I drive to Sno-Wood Veterinary Hospital, I constantly look back to check on my very special passenger. She stares at me with big beautiful brown eyes, her mouth slightly agape. I drive a little faster this Bald Eagle must live!

She is operated on and has both wings pinned; they are now immobile. Back at Sarvey we lay her in the bottom half of a huge carrier filled with shredded newspaper for support The fight for her life begins.

Twice a day a tube is pushed down her throat so that food and medicine can be pumped into her. A week goes by with no change; she still cannot stand up. At three weeks, there's a slight change, but it's for the worse. I'm getting scared for this young Bald Eagle.

Working at the Center, you begin to recognize a look, a look that indicates death is winning. This bruised and broken Bald Eagle was losing the battle but not her dignity. The struggle for her life was not over.

Every chance I get I talk softly to her, telling her to hold on, to fight, to live. Why I felt such a connection to this particular eagle, I do not know.

Four weeks go by and she is still on her belly. There is nothing so heartbreaking as seeing the life force of this majestic bird slowly slip away.

At five weeks we are approaching the end.

Sarvey Wildlife Center believes in giving every soul that comes in a chance to live; but when it is painfully clear that death is the only way out, the decision is made to let that particular spirit continue on its journey. We were at this juncture; this beautiful baby eagle was given one week to see if she could, or would, stand up. This was a crushing blow. Every day that next week I checked to see if she was up. The answer was always the same... "No."


On the following Thursday I could barely face going to the Center. As I walked in not a word was spoken but everyone wore a huge grin. I raced back to the young Bald Eagle's cage, and there she stood in all her glory!

She was standing! She had won. This girl had cheated death by a mere 24 hours. She was going to make it. She was going to get her second chance.

After another week the pins in her wings were removed. Her right wing was perfect, but her left was not. She couldn't fully extend it. We tried physical therapy and hoped a little time was all she needed, but there was no significant progress. Her wing was too badly damaged. She would never fly, never soar the skies with her people. At least her life was saved, but for what? Was she doomed to live her life in a cage? Not exactly, for this was a special soul.

Bald Eagles normally want nothing to do with humans and will go to great lengths to get away from them. This girl liked people; she wanted to see what you were doing, to follow where you were going, and to see whom you were going with. She was very curious.

About this time our director suggested that I try to glove train her. She had the right temperament; maybe she could do educational programs. Wouldn't that be something? Very few eagles are able or willing to be handled, much less remain calm in front of large crowds. The work began.

I started getting her used to the glove, a little at a time. At first she was thinking, "OK, I'll step on your hand but only with one foot." Then, "OK, I'll use both feet but only for a second." Later, "Yeah you can take me part way out of my cage, then I'll jump right back in." And finally, "OK, I'll let you walk around with me on your arm. Hey, this is fun!"

At this point, every day a volunteer would take this Bald Eagle out for a cruise around the clinic. It was time for her final test jesses, the leather straps that attach to the ankles of birds-of-prey to give control to the handler and to protect the bird from injury or escape. I put the jesses on her a piece of cake. It was as if she were born with them on. This was certainly a very mellow Bald Eagle.

Now it was almost time for her first program, but she needed a name. None that we could come up with seemed right, and then Paula, a volunteer, said, "Hey, what about Freedom?" That was it; that was her spirit and her spirit was why grandfather sent her to us. She was ready.

Freedom is now four years old and one of Sarvey Wildlife Center's premier ambassadors. She clearly enjoys our programs and really knows how to turn on the charm. She is a star. Freedom has been on national television, on the front page of major newspapers, and is known across the country.

She is also one of the great loves of my life. She will touch her beak to the tip of my nose and stare into my eyes. At that moment, our spirits are one.

I am the luckiest person on Earth. Thank you, Freedom.

(editor's note)...Jeff said, "Why I felt such a connection to this particular eagle, I do not know."

Now we all know why:

Freedom is alive because Jeff fought for her life, and there is no doubt that Freedom sensed his love and commitment. Jeff gave Freedom the support she needed to want to live.

When Jeff was later diagnosed with a serious illness requiring chemotherapy, he found himself turning to Freedom for support. Two or three times a week, whenever he felt well enough, he would drive from Bothell to Arlington to walk with Freedom around the grounds. Now it was Freedom's turn to give Jeff a reason to fight for his life.

Only a short time ago Jeff was informed there was no trace of the disease left in his body. He immediately left for the Center.

When he took Freedom out of her flight, she did something she had never done before: She extended her wings and wrapped them around him.

The circle of healing was now complete.

I am enclosing a couple of articles about Sarvey Wildlife Center, to let you learn about some of the problems they have faced and are facing on, and the help they need. Then you can follow the links to read more about the center and the get to know them. The history of Jeff and Hanble Okinyan (Freedom) are wonderful, but right now they are facing some major struggles.

Unneeded Christmas Damage: Major Snow was not the type of Christmas present, they expected; extensive property damage; which came close to taking the lives of all their eagles and hawks. If some one did not have some sense of dread and acted on their intuition, they would have lost all their eagles and hawks. It seemed no matter how hard they worked to prevent their lose; they lost the eagle flight structures and a few others, lost when the roofs caved in from snow. Others received damage due to trees collapsing on structures and their emergency ambulance. You can read the articles and see how much received damage and how much was lost due to heavy wet snow several feet of snow.

        What I can tell you from personal experiences, this type of damage coupled with planned construction can quickly change from $8,000 US into $26,000 US or more. Easily triple the cost now, than what was originally scheduled. What would have been one or two structures now it is two to four buildings? Then the repair to the other buildings damaged, and that is only the beginning. They had plans to build a new eagle flight builds, and use the other for others in need of healing and rehab. Moreover, they had a few more structures that have to be replaced also, which means they recovery cost might lead to four times they had managed to get donated. Building two new eagle flights has increased the cost by double, for materials alone.

They are out several more than two rehab shelters, remember the animals just keep coming and they need help. Nature’s children don’t stop needing help, because it snows, and none of them understand the concept of vacations or holidays, either. What we discovered the days we thought about enjoying a leisure day, those turned into the days we worked the hardest. Moreover, it was also the days; animals got into the most trouble and needed help. Now without the shelters, the center needs to find places for new arrivals, those recovering, or has housed there because of problems that prevent their return to the wild. They need conditions, which are contusive and comfortable for swift recovery.

This means they need to add more emergency housing, recovery cages, and in some cases emergency make-shift-structures, a must until the center is back up to speed, which means double the cages above normal. Because eagles and other small animals are in cages, used for recover, not for housing, and they had plans to add more cages. Right now they are in need of extra and double everything, due to loses. They had plans to build more structures because of increase in wildlife needs and those they use for education purposes, as well. They are doing such a great job, they need to expand, since they are trusted and respected; which adds greater demands for education awareness programs.

In other words, there is no room at the end and emergency measures will be taken, so some of the older guests are moved to make room for those who are in critical conditions. Those they can move will more than likely go home with volunteers. Then only those that can endure the more without trauma, which can do more harm than good, unless they know the volunteers.

This is just a partial list of what’s happened so far: see pictures in galleries Dec 25 2008 and Dec 26 2008

1. First to fall Kaye's favorite tree, the apple tree out came down with part of it resting on the hospital roof, It's still there.
2. Two evergreens came down on the house, luckily no damage and another next to it hanging on the power lines. These were all due to be trimmed or removed.
3. The tree at the bottom of the driveway fell on the wildlife ambulance (see pictures) plus it was pulling down the other power line.
4. The otter pen has collapsed
5. The waterfowl flight has collapsed
6. Freedoms flight has collapsed
7. Wask'te's flight has collapsed.
8. The eagle flight has collapsed

This was done everyday and so much snow came down at night flights still went down. Thankfully, not one bird or mammal was hurt. This all happened even though our dedicated volunteers and staff were there everyday including Christmas shoveling or using large shop brooms (they have since been broken) and rakes to get the snow off the flights. These people were climbing all over chain link enclosures, tall ladders onto roofs, snow drifts trying get some snow off of netting, you name it they did it. [See what I mean about added cost]

We saved the redtail flight, the owl flight, Hu Ayke's flight, the peregrine flight, both hunting flights, bobcat pens, the large mammal pen, the beaver condo, and all the new cedar flights.

We really hope this is all but you never know....

We have a huge clean up ahead and anyone who would like to volunteer their time and/or dollars will be greatly appreciated.

Dear Friends:

I am sorry I have been gone for so long, but I had to get knocked down to get woken up and receive my EPIPHNAY, now reality helped me to realize I have to have a number of changes to my site and to the way I have been writing. Thank you for caring, but my life received a number of dark clouds for me to see the truth and find the (silver-lining) of positive aspects.

What started out as a letter of apology combined with an explanation of foundation, became my EPIPHANY, which is the beginning to numerous changes. Plus I need to write a few articles for money so if I am not around as much, know the changes are in the works and should become apparent by the end of February, if not soon. Let me say within the sections is my confirmation to you and the Sacred Ones, but you will have to read it all to understand.

I am posting this on both sites since it is very critical for me to let you know and decide if you still want to visit and be a cyber-friend or removed from my sites. This you will need to decide after you read all five sections. Of

 Red Sun Unwrapped Truth without Reservations once you read it you will understand what I am saying and know I am going to be much more open about things and yes, there is going to be many changes. It has been hard on me trying to runaway and hide truths and so many times I have wanted to reach out and open up but I have been afraid to even in my writing.

One and All, I wish I could reach out and hug each individual and each family member in need of prayer's supports. This I speak from experience, when we look at or hear a loved one is in need of prayers, that individual is not the only one who requires our prayers; we fail to see the entire unit of family and friends need support. I ask each of you to take this as a sacred spiritual hugs of love from me. Now let us see what we can do to get our prayers answered. I think, first you need to know where my foundation and training began, in connection with my mentor.   

My background has been massive and long-lived lifetime of lessons, in spiritual research and studies. A good number of my strong abilities, I was born with although other continued to develop, and strengthen, faster than I could speak recognizable words. Why words, after all, I had interactive communication abilities with people. After speech, my abilities continued to enhance my lifetime of experiences. What others consider, telepathic communications, was just another form of communication. Yes, it was only one of several simple forms of communication via energy reception/perception patterns.

Spirit provided me with an interesting capacity to touch personas, which empowered me to research a wide range of psychological connections with varying conscious and subconscious levels, of positive/negative physics, and abstract thinking, which bonded me with personal awareness, to spiritual and mental physics. One gift enhanced my ability to sense/experience direct/indirect influences; comprehend certain conscious/subconscious energy impacts on lifestyle, various levels of physical/mental development. Since I had the ability to read minds and see certain events along personal and national timeline, and a strong telepathic communication association. Few other unique abilities, of animal communication, speak with spirits, medium, communicate with animals, and certain disembodied entities.

My Mentor

To Understand Why: the next few paragraphs are—abbreviated synopsis—of critical data is to assist in the comprehension of why I speak and wrote the articles to you is connected to background, and training. As far back as I can recall, I was trained in the ways, which directed me to become a spiritual/medicine elder, and teacher. (1) My areas of research have to do with the physics of life and prayers. (2) External and internal influences, mortal and immortal, environments linked with psychological, spiritual, and universal forms of physics. (3) Numerous areas of spirituality connected to sacred traditions, cultures, medicine lifestyles. (4) I have also learned ways to rediscover and awaken past lifestyles of my peoples, Indigenous Natives, which awakened within unique physics discoveries to connection and/or reconnect us with spiritual universe and multi—universes. One needs to understand we have personal and oneness links to unique interactive sciences, which include universal quantum physics.

1. My mentor Grandmother M was a spiritualist ministry, people from around the world would call on a Sacred Saint, healer and miracle worker women, to pray for them. Her prayers were powerful and saved thousands of lives along with her visions, among a few of the reason most people called her Sacred Saint Mother M, and all had come to considered her a very powerful medicine woman. When she crossed, over 5,000 people came to her crossing ceremonies from all around the world including six representatives from China, six representatives from Russia, at least twenty from Muslim Countries, including every nation in Africa, every island nation, Mexico, Canada, and North America. The last three had the most representatives attending her ceremonies, and then at least 150 in total arrived from Central and South America. I did not get the count of how many church leaders, political leaders, and Chiefs attended from most of the reservation. The city had to take over the preparation for her services it got so big, and Fresno (late 1950s) could only accommodate no more than 5,000 visitors. Thus 5,500 represented almost a million people from around the world. She never wrote a book, held an office, but people considered her on par with Sacred VIP Ambassadors Grandmother M could hold her own along side Mother Teresa and Pope John Paul II.

1. If Grandmother M was Catholic, she could have been categorized "Sainted Mother M," although many leaders of the Catholic Church honored and respected her openly and referred to her by the title of Sainted Mother and even many Nuns sought her guidance. For a child, walking into a Catholic Church beside Grandmother M, observing Priest and Nuns embrace and welcome her via a title of respect, Sister or Sainted Mother M, thank you for coming. . . . We can use your help. Many time they called on her to pray for people, along with her secret/successful ways of healing through the ways she cooked and served food. Her sacred abilities through prays, touch, food and blessings all lead to the healings and wellness of others.

2. Grandmother M loved and accepted everyone into her sacred spiritual bosom; all recognized a sacred mother embrace of love and acceptation without judgment or reservation of any type within her spirit-heart.

                                                             i.      Yes, Grandmother M, Mother Teresa, and Pope John Paul II, representatives of the Sacred Father and possessed the same sacred persona and abilities.

                                                           ii.      Amazing spiritual powers, messenger, teacher, healer, guardian, and wondrous abilities, now it was easy for me to understand, why so many spoke of her in sacred terms of a saint.

                                                         iii.      Then what I know of the Sacred Father and Council of Elders there was much more to the lives of three or more saints' appearance, to teach and guide. One gift to humanity: learn unconditional love . . . learn how to love openly with ones spirit-heart giving forward spiritual physics filled with love.

2. Grandmother M's original training came from Ojibwa medicine elders. Between their knowledge learned and experienced, combined with three-centuries of Indigenous Native Scientific Sacred Awareness, ability to communicate and move across realms and it many levels of Spiritual/Universal Physics became her life lessons.
   1. Her training began even before she could speak and advanced rapidly with speech and so it was the same with me. Thus, she was young when they were old, my training began around the same age,
   2. When young, our first foundations of teachers are the eldest of spiritual elders.
   3. We continued with our research and studies, which enhanced our knowledge, then we get to the point we begin to experience our learning from the Sacred Ones.

3. TRUTH: Grandmother M, the only woman I witnessed walk on above ground in the with air under her feet, above land and water, but personal experiences, suggest guardian angels lift her up and carry, until she completed her spiritual communications with the ones that sought her help and asked her to pray for. . . . Either she was an with the sacred abilities or angels carried Grandmother M, they kept her pure connected to the Sacred Ones, which insured everyone received their instructions in the purest of terms. At no time did she touch the ground, until she completed all necessary communications, which included letters, to phone calls and/or telegrams, to all that requested her prayers and received communications back from her.
   1. People who requested her prayers, awaited instructions linked to task they are requested to accomplish prove his or her love, concern, and personal commitment to the wellness and/ or protection of a love one, family, or friend.
4. All that requested prayers, would receive Instructions to accomplish certain tasks. She understood the countless ways and power of prayers. (Tests, Lessons, and Awakenings we experience through prayers.) Other times certain times they will answer a prayer within minutes or hours. Yet, certain people will receive assignments to do various things to show appreciation and love or the person might have a relapse.

Section Two: Speaking in Parables

Point One—Buckeye Abilities

Strange but true, for more than twenty years . . . almost twenty-one I learned, a shocking truth . . . my unique abilities were the acceptation and not the norm.

When, how or why it happened, I cannot explain, but I grew-up speaking in parables, which to me was common during ninety-percent of my daily conversation, because of my spiritual connection, with Grandmother M, all my spiritual guardians, guides, and teachers. I think maybe I still unconsciously do write and speak in parables.

Strong intense parable behavior patterns continued until . . . One honorable and respected spiritual medicine leader of the Pueblo Nation, with similar abilities took me under his protection and explained, my parable conversations, spiritual medicine talents, and tongues were not common. It still took me a while . . . several hours speaking with him . . . before recognition of speak difference.

Spiritual proficiencies; in the areas of telepathic communication awareness of spiritual consciousness, universal/spiritual physics, communication abilities, my natural abilities to transcend and walk easily between realms. Spiritual lifestyle, not only mine but also my daughters' comfortable, natural, commonplace comfort zone.

During the course of a three-day conversation, at a pow-wow, he allowed to discover my growing up with Grandmother M, people who work with and or respected the land, along with farmers: all are capable of developing strong compassionate spiritual connection with the natural universe filling them with spiritual awareness. Fact their environment I grew in was my confirmation to spiritual communication with the land and spiritual awareness in our environment was commonplace. . . . Grandfather answered why we sensed many of the same things that helped me accept my sensitivities and spiritual awareness, without question.

I compiled all my 400 pages of research data maybe about half of my research and entered the Science Fair—sixth grade. Overviews of six years of personal investigation, via peeping tom, shadow stocker, invasion of privacy, which could have landed me in jail or in major trouble, and no laws governing my behavior and no fences. Nevertheless, who have had guess my behavior during mid-1950s, would get me expelled from elementary school for plagiarism.

Elementary School Principal, teachers and Science Fair review board, shouted plagiarism and expelled me with five Fails:

1. First for a liar,
2. Second for a thief,
3. Third for falsification of a report,
4. Fourth for out right plagiarism
5. One extra since they thought me too stupid to be so intelligent and too young for a write such a professional report, the quality belonged to a Professor with years of college and professional research.

Their inner-truth and belief system told them to believed life, in a different way. They convinced themselves to accept me a thief who plagiarized a report, and to present it to them revealed a hidden belief Indians are really stupid and they were too intelligence to believe that was my report. The report they read was top notch, which won the author received Top Honors for HIS Dissertation only a person with a higher intelligence could accomplished, (The report required someone with a much greater advanced intelligent no some ignorant Native American Indian and girl child.) He the author earned HIS PhD in Psychology, with a minor in Physics. Words they continued to repeat to my face, they did not realize they were inflating my ego and made me even more determined to prove my work. They believed . . . No child could accomplish such impressive, forward thinking research. They were right about forward thinking, research and they quickly became extremely red-faced when they learned MY research was forward thinking and mine, but not before . . . .

We agreed, after I would not shut-up, if I could not prove it was my work; they would expel me for the rest of the school year. I would repeat the entire sixth grade not just the last half of sixth grade. Followed up by a strong threat; "We will make sure you will not enjoy your second time around, no matter where you go."

"I am up to the challenge," stomping my foot and squaring my jaw, "Okay, bring them on; I want my court date, and if you are proven wrong I want an apology in front of the entire school." We shook hands.

First, review board of high school science teachers from Fresno and the principal. Then without explanation, they contacted UCLA and requested a Review Board from UCLA for more intense review. After the first two-review boards, expulsion reversed, but UCLA requested more extensive review and interviews. After twenty hours of questioning, for them to understand how I conducted my research and what defined my conclusions UCLA offered me an Honorary PhD in Psychology and Physics, and scholarship once I graduated from junior high.

Yes, it was laughable and humorous, I knew the truth, but people's concepts fixate them on what they want to believe is their truth. Close minds blinds and prevent people from accepting anything else. Yes, it did earn a PhD, for the author, but not the one the principal and teachers envisioned.

The truth is truth, and sometimes the only ones to know truths actual the reality, is the Sacred Father and the one that accomplished the work. Truth is not the reality humanity wants to believe while many feel more comfortable believing half-truths or reverse truths, than acceptance of truths; which then empowers the lack of grow mentally, emotionally or on universal environment. Fact: to accept truth's reality in many proceedings takes a big leap of faith, and the desire to ride the winds of light and life eternal, which it the only way one can understand the truth. Yes, I continued my research and increased my experiences, I learned much during the trials and various events. I ask are you ready to take a huge leap of faith with me?  

I would like to demonstrate to you we use volumes more of our brains, beyond ten-percent, we do have the power to enhance and create miracles, and relate on and through many levels of communication beyond our five senses.
